Wal-Mart - Employing 82% of the Worlds Failures Despite what your college professor has told you, Wal-Mart embodies everything that is great about America. I have noticed that a growing number of tree hugging “jihadist liberals” have claimed that America is bad, capitalism is bad and anything that brings anyone any sort of real world success is also bad. It’s real easy to type that on a $800 computer assembled by tuberculosis infected children in Indonesia but the truth is that because of corporations like Wal-Mart we are able to maintain a comfortable existence. Like it or not, they are a necessary evil. If I choose to kidnap a bunch of illegal immigrants to make t-shirts for my website, keep them locked up in my basement, and pay them pennies a day, good for me. I have successfully maximized profits with minimal effort. These people now have more pennies and I am able to sit back and watch porn. Everybody wins. So what if another culture is raped of it's humanity all so I can afford a shiny new toaster oven that I will surely buy from Wal-Mart because, with their humungous buying power, they can offer it to me at the lowest price? Isn’t that what business is all about? Isn't that the American way? People really need to make up their mind because I am really confused. Do we want cheap brooms or living wages? Why the hell do people think they have the right to question Wal-Mart in the first place? They are nothing but the end result of someone’s hard work and determination. If they wish to exploit third world labor and make free slavery a flourishing market then good for them. If they have to completely eradicate all businesses that are unable to keep up then fucking a. If they want to maximize profits by crushing all support for unionization then great. If they have found a way to save a little cash by exploiting the federal health insurance system then good for them. As a past employee of Wal-Mart, I have more reasons than most to hate them. I was stupid enough to work for them not once, but twice. My first job was at Sam’s club as a technology sales consultant (fancy name for electronics department douche bag) and the second was as a cashier at Wal-Mart. Not only did they treat me like a bitch, lie to me and force me to work full time with no benefits but they also expected me to do my job with a god damn smile. But still, I will not write an anti Wal-Mart article (or another one in the event that I have already written one which I refuse to check just to simply validate a little ol' claim). Why? Because I feel as though we need to put a few things into perspective. No one in their right mind would have ever imagined that an inbred hick from some podunk town in the most "dentally challenged" state in the nation would one day give rise to one of the mightiest business empires ever known to mankind. Despite what professor Lenin tells us, that is what America is all about. It is truly The biggest claim people have about the corporation is the way they treat their employees. So what about them? What about all the “good” people that barely get paid a living wage? Just look at these winners.
So, let’s go ahead and unionize Wal-Mart and pay these societal rejects $12 an hour to do a job a head of lettuce is better qualified to do. Fine. Let’s give them full health benefits so they can have better access to morphine, codeine, or whatever pain killer their quack doctor has prescribed for their Wal-Mart may be a sleazy corporation that makes its money off the ball sweat of human dignity but remember that that is the American way. If these so called “liberals” that bitch about this shit decided to ever get off their ass and actually do something rather than complain, we might get somewhere. But to hate someone just because they have become successful is ridiculous. If folks really hate Wal-Mart that bad, they can start their own business and create some competition. If they are as good as Wal-Mart is then they would most definitely destroy them and they would be able to run their business which ever way they choose; paying their alcoholic, crack dealing employees whatever they feel is "morally" acceptable. But I doubt that will happen. Why? Because that’s too much god damn work. It’s always easier to sit on your ass and bitch than it is to get into action. That’s why the hippies failed and Wal-Mart is one of the largest corporations in the world. Deal with it.
